Many years ago we saw some Rainsong guitars in Hawaii. We  heard that they were incredibly stable as being constructed with carbon fiber. Near the end of 2022, I watched a few Youtube videos about the Rainsong WS1000 reissue that they were offering direct to customers and decided to order one to kick off 2023.

What an amazing guitars. I got to test it outside at the Concours in the Hills car show as temperatures went from low 50s to mid 70s. It stayed in tune throughout the day. I really like the rounded edges of the body, the fit, feel, finish and tone of the guitar both acoustically and through a mini pa. 

JoCo Cruise

In March we decided to revisit all the artists, writers, musicians, gamers, game designers, podcasters, comedians and nerds on the JoCo Cruise again down in the Caribbean with Jonathan Coulton and friends.

In May we headed North to Iceland for shows by Elvis Costello and Nick Lowe. Rex got to meet Nick and share copies of the Big FOR His AGE Too album with both Elvis and Nick.

We spent the Summer traveling back to the MidWest where Rex road 510 miles across the state of Iowa on his bike in the RAGBRAI ride and on to the U.S.A. Age Group Triathlon Championships in Milwaukee. 

Rex visited Dave's guitars in both Madison and Milwaukee Wisconsin.

On the way through Nashville, we stopped at Rivolta Guitars and Rex picked up another cool guitar, a Rivolta Combinata XVII. The guys did a full setup before we hit the road again. They said that we just missed RJ Ronquillo who had just stopped by with his Travato earlier that morning.

In August Steve Southerland and Rex got together again in Whitefish, Montana to do some more songwriting. 

Back in Phoenix, Andy Kern and I checked out a possible location. for our next Big FOR His AGE recording project 

We are looking forward to working up some new songs with Big FOR His AGE in 2024.
